Vegetables Stock in Kramatjati Induk Market Declining

Ahead of Christmas and New Year, the distribution of vegetables in Kramatjati Induk Market, East Jakarta is declining. This condition impacts the price of several commodities. In fact, the stock remains stable.

Nevertheless, the stocks are remain stable to meet the daily needs

Nurman Adhi, Market Manager, admitted that the declining stock is caused by season change. This caused vegetables are easily withered. Another reason is vegetable demand from outer Java also increasing.

"The distribution is lower compared to last week, but the price is fair," he said, Wednesday (12/9).

Vegetable Farmers in Semanan Expecting Low Price Fertilizer

For example, last week's cabbage distribution was 612 tons but this week is 583 tons. Tomato was 476 tons and now is 399 tons, chili was 986 tons and declined to 961 tons, potato was 618 tons declined to 552 tons, and garlic was 124 tons became 119 tons.

According to him, last week's curly chili price was Rp 22,000/kg and now Rp 28,000/kg, red onion was Rp 15,000 and now Rp 18,000/kg, celery was Rp 16,000 now Rp 19,000/kg, cabbage was Rp 7,000 and now Rp 7,500/kg, and carrot was Rp 10,000 and now Rp 11,000/kg.

"Nevertheless, the stocks are remain stable to meet the daily needs," he uttered.
