Strike Action, Metromini in Pondok Kopi Disappeared

Tens of metromini buses that used to be stationed in Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, this Monday morning (12/21) suddenly disappeared. Allegedly, the metromini drivers are holding strike action in 5 Jakarta areas.

We hope metromini to keep operating

Beritajakarta.com observation, despite none of metromini drivers seen, but it does not cause the buildup of passengers. Commonly, the passengers have known about the strike. They then decide to use other public transports.

Diofand Panjaitan, (50), a Metromini driver T 47 (Senen-Pondok Kopi) visibly chose to gather with his partners doing the action.

Anticipate Metromini's Strike, 11 School Buses Alerted

"Our vehicle documents are complete. It is just because the others doing strike action, automatically we also do it. We can't operate alone, we could be despised by many people," said Panjaitan, Monday (12/21).

Holden Simanjuntak, (53), another metromini driver stated that just because of some unruly drivers,  impacts on all. Currently, officers intensively hold raid of unfeasible vehicles.

"We hope metromini to keep operating. Particularly, those vehicles whose documents expired, they must be re-processed to pass roadworthiness (Kir) test. If we don't operate, how can we feed our family," he expressed.

Since the mass strike action is held, metromini crews claimed they confused to meet their needs. Consequently, they have to make a loan everywhere.
