Four mobile pumps are alerted to cope with floods on Jalan Boulevard Barat Raya and Jalan Boulevard Artha Gading, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
This condition is because water from micro channel can't flow well toward Sunter River
North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. head, Herning Wahyuningsih expressed, until 11 AM, flooding on both roads was still at 50 cm high.
"Two pumps we send to suck up water on Jalan Boulevard Barat Raya, and two other units are sent to Jalan Boulevard Artha Gading," she stated, Tuesday (2/21).
After being sucked up, water was then disposed to the connecting channel (PHB).
"This condition is because water from micro channel can't flow well toward Sunter River," she explained.
While, Gandhi (46), a security officer of mall told floods hit Jalan Boulevard Barat Raya at 5 AM.
"Water overflowing from the channel that is on two sides of the street," he expressed.
