Due to be used as fire truck parking lot, the emergency traffic engineering had to be set around Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. Those fire trucks are still focused on extinguishing the flames that have burned Ramayana shopping center on Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu.

"Jalan Raya Ragunan is closed temporarily, as it's used a parking lot for fire truck," expressed Edi Sufaat, Section Head of Operational for South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Thursday (5/18).

According to him, vehicles coming from Jalan Warung Jati towards Jalan Raya Ragunan will be directed to find alternative lanes, either pass Jalan TB Simatupang towards Tanjung Barat-Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu or Jalan Warung Buncit Raya.

"20 executing units under Transportation Sub-dept. from Pasar Minggu Sub-district have been deployed. This traffic engineering is still ongoing until the situation is conducive," he stated.

Until 9.10 AM, traffic was reportedly still jammed. Thus far, the firefighters are still cooling down the fire location.
