Previously, Basuki was upset and wanted to sack Rasyid due to he failed resolving any problems in Monas. This is because many Satpol PP and security officers provide a parking lot for car and motorcycle inside Monas, by collecting money as much as Rp 3,500-5,000 per vehicle. Considering the legal parking lot is only located in Lapangan IRTI.
The existence of street vendors is also an annoyance factor of Basuki. According to the Bylaw No.8/2007 on Public Order, vendors are prohibited to trade on the roadsides, sidewalks, and parks.
"In era of former Jakarta Governor, Sutiyoso, street vendors had been relocated, but why its amount keeps increasing," asserted Basuki, when he opened the Monas Jakarta Fair, yesterday.
