10 Training Sessions Held in Jakarta Throughout October

The Management Unit of Cultural Arts Training Center (UP PPSB) under Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. has held 10 training sessions in October 2017.
Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. Head, Imron expressed training is held at the PPSB offices that spread in five cities.
West Jakarta to Hold Art Training at 20 RPTRAs"Training given is about art, music, dance, batik and theater," he stated, Thursday (10/31).
He details, from five cities, Central Jakarta PPSB has held two training sessions, namely qasidah (a genre of Arabic-language poetry) and theater arts. Then, in North Jakarta PPSB, they have held training about qasidah and dance creations of other regions.
Further, West Jakarta PPSB has held training in make-up art and traditional theater art, South Jakarta PPSB held batik and theater art directing training, as well as East Jakarta PPSB held training about marawis (traditional percussion ensemble) and drum.
"We do it as part of efforts to preserve and advance the cultural arts of the archipelago, especially Betawi, he uttered.
He assessed all participants are trained by professional and competent instructors in their fields. The training materials include theory and direct practice. In addition, after it is finished, participants will be required to perform.
