PT Transjakarta Usulkan PSO Tahun Depan Rp 3,3 Triliun

PT Transjakarta to File PSO By Rp 3,3 T Next Year

City-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is proposing Public Service Obligation in the amount of Rp 3.3 trillion next year.

Next year we proposed PSO by Rp 3.3 trillion. Nevertheless we'll do evaluation continuouslyNet

The amount proposed is significantly higher than this year.

PT Transjakarta President Director, Budi Kaliwono said, PSO was proposed to cover operational and production costs. The increase in PSO is also offset by increased services with route extensions and the addition of bus numbers.

PSO Reduction Won't Affect Bus Fare Hike

"Next year we proposed PSO by Rp 3.3 trillion. Nevertheless we'll do evaluation continuously," he expressed, at City Council building, Tuesday (11/7).

Budi expressed additional amount of PSO is proposed with the assumption of passenger target next year reaching 212 million people. While, this year, the number of passengers is estimated only 144-145 million people.

This year, the amount proposed is Rp 2.8 trillion. And in APBD-P, it was minimized by Rp 1.7 trillion. PSO absorption itself is predicted to reach only Rp 1.3 trillion.

"Next year it will be higher, as we have additional services. Besides Ok Trip, we also expand route and its fleet," he told.

According to him, trip fare for each passenger currently reaches Rp 11,000. The fare charged to passengers is Rp 3,500 only. Thus the subsidy that will be given is Rp 6,500 per passenger.

On the other hand, Jakarta DPRD's Commission D Member, Cinta Mega asks PT Transjakarta to recalculate the amount of the proposed PSO in order for the proposal and the realization of a comparable absorption.

"Rp 3.3 trillion is very high, must be recalculated in detail thus its use can be on target," he closed.
