No TPS, Under Klender Flyover Strewn by Waste Piles

We had made a proposal the Klender Pasar Jaya caretaker to use their land, but they reject it

The low awareness and concern for the cleanliness and unavailability of temporary waste disposal site (TPS), making residents and street vendors throw waste under the Klender Flyover, Jatinegara Kaum, Pulogadung, East Jakarta. No wonder, the place looks dirty and slum.

Surely, the condition is protested by road user and riders who often pass such flyover. They feel disturbed with waste piles and slippery roads caused by the water used to wash the fish from the street vendors.

Illegal TPS in Green Line Zone Complained by Residents

"I had to throw waste here (under Klender Flyover) due to unavailable TPS," expressed Maimunah (34), one of vegetable vendors, Friday (6/27).

Maimunah hoped related unit can immediately build the TPS . "Many riders slipped here due to slippery road," she told.

Responding on this matter, Head of Jatinegara Kaum Urban Village, Henrica Kuswandari stated until now her side is still trying to search the TPS. This is because there is no suitable place to carry out the construction of TPS. "We had made a proposal the Klender Pasar Jaya caretaker to use their land, but they reject it," he exclaimed. 

Even, she had also asked the East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department for waste containers provision under the flyover, but they never provide it. "According to Cleanliness Sub-Department, container provision could probably be provided in the upcoming August," she uttered.
