“I dare Mr. Ahok to control Monas area. Kodam Jaya has 13,000 personnel who are ready to help Jakarta Provincial Government in doing control and development,” stated Mulyono, Wednesday (7/16).
According to Mulyono, TNI has Karya Bhakti program that can be utilized by Jakarta Provincial Government for development. For instance is by involving TNI personnel in controlling street vendors who are causing traffic congestion and dirtying the environment, cleaning and normalizing rivers, dams, and reservoirs, et cetera. As a matter of fact, TNI is also ready to renovate schools if asked by Jakarta Provincial Government.

After upcoming Eid ul Fitr 1435 Hijri, Mulyono disclosed that Kodam Jaya is going to clean Cilangkap Dam which currently strewn with trashes and wilding around it. Previously, TNI personnel also have helped controlling street vendors in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta. Unfortunately, the control was not followed up by Satpol PP, so street vendors are now rampant again in that area.
Not only that, many inter-city inter-province (AKAP) buses are based in Pasar Rebo area, as if untouched by related parties which should have controlled them. As a result, the area remains chaotic. In this case, local Satpol PP and Transportation Sub-Department supposed to be holding control and guard the area.
“If Jakarta was beautiful and orderly, the citizens would feel more comfortable and safer. Let us together maintain the capital city to remain safe and comfortable. The citizens also must support government’s programs,” uttered Mulyono.
