Onrust Island is one of islands in Thousand Islands, Jakarta, which lies near to Angel Island or Bidadari Island. To get there, it is very easy to access by sea transportation, either through Muara Kamal, Muara Angke and Marina Ancol beach with a distance of approximately 14 kilometers can be gone for twenty minutes.

Jakarta Maritime Museum Technical Management Unit Tour Guide, Rosadi said that most of the anglers coming from Jakarta and Tangerang. On average on normal days, its number can touch 20-25 people per day but will increase every weekend.

"Usually they come in the morning, stay overnight and go home tomorrow afternoon," he expressed, Monday (7/15).

He furthered that fish commonly obtained from fishing results such as baronang fish, grouper fish, samgeh fish, stingray, snapper, alu-alu fish until barracuda fish. At night, people usually fish squid.

"Every weekend, tourist is mostly coming from Tangerang. Last Sunday, 300 people came here," he told.

Rodi (40), one of tourists from Mauk, Tangerang admitted that this is his first time he visited and fished on Onrust Island.

He who came with 20 members of the Tangerang fishing club claimed to often fish in the waters of Lancang Island and Untung Jawa Island, South Thousand Islands.

"Onrust waters are quite good and the fish is still quite a lot," he exclaimed.
