Commission E - Dinkes Prepares Coronavirus Prevention

They (the health agency) must be better prepared to anticipate the virus

The Jakarta DPRD's Commission E along with the Jakarta Health Agency (dinkes) held a work meeting (raker) to discuss preventing the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Jakarta, on Monday (1/27).

In the meeting, the agency was demanded to optimize supporting facilities and infrastructures in preventing the virus.

"They (dinkes) must be better prepared to anticipate the virus," expressed the Commission E Chairman, Iman Satria.

The council wanted them to soon form a team in charge of checking the potential of the virus, especially at the airport to the port.

Jakarta Dinkes Head Widyastuti explained that its prevention was being prepared in all areas of Jakarta. Moreover, there were three referral hospitals in Jakarta, so infected patients could be referred there.

Those three hospitals were Gatot Subroto RSUD (Central Jakarta), Sulianti Saroso RSPI (North Jakarta) and Persahabatan Hospital (East Jakarta).

"We have coordinate with the Health Ministry to strengthen the supervision of strict preventive motives. We will start it from the airport and port," she stated.
