PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) again closes two other stations namely, Istora and Setiabudi Stations starting Thursday (4/23).

From Thursday, April 23, 2020, we will close two stations; Istora Mandiri Station and Setiabudi Stations

"From Thursday, April 23, 2020, we will close two stations; Istora Mandiri Station and Setiabudi Stations. Ratangga also will not stop at those two stations," stated Muhammad Effendi, Operational and Maintenance Director of PT. MRT Jakarta, Wednesday (4/22).

This closure is the continuation of the previous policy where MRT Jakarta closed three other stations temporarily, namely Haji Nawi Station, Blok A Station, and ASEAN Station on Monday (4/20).

This policy, he continued, is one of his efforts to support Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in DKI Jakarta. PT. MRT Jakarta encourages people to minimize outdoor activities.

"Starting Thursday (4/23), Ratangga only stops at the following stations; Lebak Bulus, Fatmawati, Cipete Raya, Blok M, Senayan, Bendungan Hilir, Dukuh Atas, and Bundaran HI," he said.

However, people can continue their trip from MRT stations that are still operating to take Transjakarta bus at Corridor 1V (Lebak Bulus - Bundaran HI route) which operate from 6 AM to 6 PM.

"After closing 3 stations, PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) noted the number of passengers who use MRT on Monday (4/20) reached 4,961 people while 4,351 people on Tuesday (4/24)," he mentioned.

During the COVID-19 pandemic period, PT. MRT Jakarta will continue to operate from 6 AM to 6 PM, limit the passengers in a train car maximum 60 people, require passengers to use face mask, intensify physical distancing and personal hygiene implementations.

"PT. MRT Jakarta fully supports Jakarta Government's policies in appealing people to work, study, and perform prayer from home in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19," he closed.
