Dishub Temukan 29.000 Pelanggaran Transportasi Selama PSBB

April 10 - May 3, Dishub Records 29,797 Violations

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) recorded 29,797 violations during Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period from April 10 to May 3, 2020. In detail, 29,459 violations occurred on the roads and toll gates and 338 violations occurred in inter-city inter-province (AKAP) terminals and city terminals.

There are 15 checkpoints on non-toll roads, 5 checkpoints on toll roads, and 6 checkpoints in terminals

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo mentioned, his side together with Polda Metro Jaya have determined 26 checkpoints for monitoring PSBB and homecoming ban implementation.

"There are 15 checkpoints on non-toll roads, 5 checkpoints on toll roads, and 6 checkpoints in terminals," he added, Wednesday (5/6).

He explained, checkpoints on the road and toll gates targeted two-wheeled vehicles and four-wheeled vehicles. While checkpoints at the terminals targeted AKAP bus and public transport fleets.

"For terminal, we have checkpoints at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Kalideres Terminal, Tanjung Priok Terminal, Senen Terminal, Kampung Melayu Terminal, and Pulogebang Terminal," he explained.

From his monitoring, his side still found motorcycle taxi (ojek) around stations and terminals, as well as public transportation fleets that don't have Supervision Card but still operating.

Regarding violations in the terminal, his side still found many passengers who didn't wear mask and many public transportation fleets which over capacity. However, violation graph tends to decrease from April 10 to May 3, 2020.

"Together with Polda Metro Jaya, we will monitor, impose sanctions for the violators, and socialize PSBB to the residents thus it can give optimal results in preventing COVID-19 spread," he closed.
