City-owned water operator PD PAM Jaya, distributed 1,644 packages of staple food to people on Panggang Island, North Thousand Islands, affected by COVID-19 outbreak.
Of 1,644 packages, 444 are sent to Pramuka Island and 1,200 are sent to Panggang Island
According to Pepen Kuswandi, Head of Panggang Island Urban Village, his party had cooperated with local RT/RW to distribute the aid door to door to comply with physical distancing rules.
"Of 1,644 packages, 444 are sent to Pramuka Island and 1,200 are sent to Panggang Island," he expressed.
In the meantime, PD PAM Jaya Public Relations Manager Linda Nurhandayani explained that it was part of the 5,000 food packages distributed to people affected by COVID-19. Each package contained rice, cooking oil, syrup, flour, tea, coffee and instant noodles.
"We also do the same thing on Payung, Untung Jawa, Kelapa islands, Bendungan Hilir, Daan Mogot Flat Tower and Waduk Pluit Flat Tower," he stated.
