       Januari-Oktober 700 PMKS Dijaring Pemkot Jakbar

January-October, 700 PMKS in W. Jakarta Netted

Raid against people with social problem issues (PMKS) keeps being conducted by West Jakarta Administration. Throughout January until October, officers managed to net 700 PMKS at some points.  

For this year, the number of netted PMKS this year is decreasing than last year, which was nearly 1.000

According to Ismu Taryono, Head of West Jakarta Rehabilitation Service and Social Section, from 700 PMKS, most of them had been netted many times but they operate again after getting guidance in the social institution. 

Avoiding Raid, PMKS Rollicking Move to Residential

 

"We had netted those PMKS before but they operate again due to there is organizations control them. This must be investigated further along with police," he stated, Wednesday (10/15).

He explained, of the 700 PMKS are comprising 235 bums, 93 beggars, 90 sex workers, 53 people with mental disorders, 52 street musicians, 49 scavengers, etc. "The majority of them are from outside Jakarta such as Bogor, Bekasi and Tangerang," he expressed.

Meanwhile, those PMKS were netted from the Tomang’s red light, Grogol's red light, Jalan Tubagus Angke, Cengkareng, Kota Tua area, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, and Kalideres Terminal.

"For this year, the number of netted PMKS this year is decreasing than last year, which was nearly 1.000," he finished.
