South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency officers have managed to handle 21 points of floods along the streets spread over eight sub-districts.

South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head Mustajab said puddles were because of heavy rain and overflowing water of Ciliwung and Krukut rivers last Sunday.

Those 21 streets were in Kebayoran Baru (3 points), Cilandak (3 points), Jagakarsa (3 points), Kebayoran Lama (2 points), Mampang Prapatan (2 points), Pesanggrahan (4 points), Tebet (1 points) and Pasar Minggu (3 points).

"Water level is between 5-50 cm. Especially Pancoran and Setiabudi, they are safe from floods," he expressed, Monday (10/5).

He stated as many as 100 officers have been sent to clean up gutters, to operate pumps and to dredge up drains.

"Water has receded today. The highest is located on Jalan A. Yani up to 50 cm, Gg Annur, RT 14/06, Jati Padang Urban Village, Pasar Minggu," he stated.
