KLJ and KPDJ Recipients Now can Withdraw Funds Every Month

Recipients of welfare fund for Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ) and Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) now can withdraw their funds every month.

Jakarta Social Agency's Social Security Section Head, Ahmad Taufiq Hidayatullah said, KLJ and KPDJ funds disbursement in this fourth quarter of 2020 will not be withdrawn once per 3 months.

He ensured KLJ and KPDJ funds are available in each recipients' accounts and it can be disbursed every month, after the fifth day of the month.

Total KLJ and KPDJ funds for fourth quarter of 2020 are available in the recipients' accounts. However, his side has coordinated with Bank DKI to limit the withdrawal only Rp 600,000 per month.

"For example, KLJ recipients already have Rp 1.8 million in their accounts for October, November, and December. We arranged it thus recipients can only withdrawn Rp 600,000 a month. They can't withdraw more because they haven't entered a certain month," he explained, Friday (10/23).

His side also takes out data of recipients who had passed away, moved out from Jakarta, or are considered financially capable.

"Before sorting our data, we have verified and validated the recipients first, and coordinated with Social Unit in sub-districts," he stated.

For information, KLJ and KPDJ are one of Jakarta Government's programs to fulfill the basic needs of elderly and people with disabilities.

This card is given to individuals who have met the criteria and requirements which set and registered at DTKS (Integrated Social Welfare Data).

KLJ and KPDJ are made in form of Bank DKI ATM card which can be used by cardholder for transaction.

"Amount of funds received by elderly is Rp 600,000/person/month, while Rp 300,000/person/month for KPDJ," he stated.
