Two contractors of North Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub-Department project implementers are blacklisted due to assessed not working their projects well. Later, North Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub-department would send letter to Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Unit (ULP) to not recommend both contractors.

The authority to determine the contractors is fully based on auctions in ULP. But, we will send letter to ULP about contractors that we assessed not having good working performance

The first contractor is PT Sigura Gura Maju Jaya, the party that is responsible for the collapsed fence of State Senior High School (SMAN) 13 for as long as 80 meters because of the making of U-ditch drain on Jalan Dahlia 2, Koja, North Jakarta. The material loss suffered reaches Rp 288 million.

The second contractor blacklisted is CV Limpar Haldesu, also responsible for the installation of U-ditch on Jalan Lagoa Terusan as well as bridge construction and Lagoa Sinar connecting channel (PHB) normalization. The work done by this company is assessed not good because the bridge’s decker was broken after being installed two weeks before. As a result, Jalan Lagoa Terusan cannot be passed by four-wheel vehicle.

According to Head of North Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub-Department, Wagiman Silalahi, since the auction tender is conducted through ULP, his party cannot control the contractors. Even so, he would send letter to ULP to give recommendations on contractors which performance is not good.

“The authority to determine the contractors is fully based on auctions in ULP. But, we will send letter to ULP about contractors that we assessed not having good working performance. Hopefully it could become consideration material for ULP in holding auctions in the future,” he stated, Wednesday (11/5).
