Starting Next Week, Kalideres Terminal will Provide GeNose C19 Service

GeNose C19 or COVID-19 fast detection tool will be provided at Kalideres Terminal, West Jakarta for the prospective bus passengers to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

It will be used randomly to prospective passengers

Kalideres Intercity and Interprovincial (AKAP) Bus Terminal Head, Revi Zulkarnaen stated, GeNose C19 service is planned to be provided next week on Monday (4/19) or Tuesday (4/20).

"It will be used randomly to prospective passengers. Currently we are still preparing a place for it, because this tool can't be exposed to air pollution," he said, Friday (4/16).

Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal Still Deserted

According to him, GeNose C19 which developed by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) was provided through assistance from Transportation Ministry.

So far, he continued, his side is still using JAKI application for prospective passengers who want to use AKAP bus service. This application can be accessed using Android-based smartphone. If the prospective passengers doesn't have smartphone, they are allowed to use officer's smartphone to access JAKI application.

"There are three health categories in JAKI, namely high, medium, and low. Those who are allowed to take AKAP Bus are passengers in high and medium level of health. If their results are in low category, the prospective passengers are recommended to have their health checked by doctor," he explained.
