Central Jakarta Holds Low-cost Food Program to Help Underprivileged People

Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) holders are enthusiastic about enjoying the subsidized low-cost food program held by the Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency together with PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (FSTJ), Perumda Pasar Jaya, and Perumda Dharma Jaya at JP Mart Central Jakarta Mayor's Office.

This is to create food security and improve the nutrition of residents in Jakarta

According to Fahran (35), a supervisor of JP Mart Central Jakarta, the program has been ongoing from March 4 to 18 with 200 quotas every day. Products offered were fresh beef, chicken, eggs, fish, milk, and rice with a price range of Rp 8,000 to Rp 35,000.

"This is to create food security and improve the nutrition of residents in Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (3/8).

Dwi (31), a resident of Kebon Pala 3, Kebon Melati Urban Village admitted that she was helpful with the program. She hoped that it could be a routine agenda to lighten the underprivileged people's burden.

"My gratitude for the Jakarta administration to help us in meeting nutritional needs," she admitted.

The same statement also came out from Irianti (59), a resident of Dukuh Pinggir V, Kebon Melati Urban Village.

"Happy and grateful. My hope is it can be held routinely, so we can consume nutritious food every month," she hoped.
