2,000 Tree Seeds Prepared to Green JIS Area

The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPPKP) Agency says around 2,000 productive tree seeds are about to green the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) area in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

They will be planted gradually

Aside from supporting the series of public visit programs 'Yuk Kita ke JIS' (Let's Visit JIS) organized by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), it also aims to maintain the balance of the ecosystem around the project.

KPKP Agency Head Suharini Eliawati said as many as 87 seeds were already planted in the JIS' green zone. Her agency also prepared the seeds of typical Jakarta plants, namely jamblang, gandaria, rambutan, harp, bisbul, and breadfruit.

JIS Construction is Targeted for Completion in Early April 2022

"They will be planted gradually. We also give opportunity for residents who take JIS tours to plant and write the plants planted," she explained, Friday (3/26).

Her party will continue to support this program through assistance to community groups who directly participate in tree planting activities for the JIS area.

She also appreciated them in supporting the reforestation program in the JIS area and environmental preservation in Jakarta.

"We provide officers and its seeds, including facilitating communities, individuals, and farmer groups (poktan) who want to plant trees at JIS," she stated.
