Aid Given to 74 Horse Owners in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency distributed aid to 74 horse owners in Kebon Jeruk, Kalideres, Cengkareng, Palmerah, and Kembangan sub-districts on Monday (4/25).

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head Iwan Indriyanto conveyed those fostered horse owners received aid from Baznas Bazis. 53 horse owners received the aid at Pegadungan Soccer Field, Kalideres, and 21 horse owners at Kembangan Agricultural Extension Center (BPP).

"This aid is distributed to ease the economic of horse owners affected by the pandemic," he uttered.

Each horse owner was given aid in form of Rp 500,000 in cash along with food packages containing 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of cooking oil, 2 cans of sardines, and 2 packs of teabags. They also received 50 kilograms of horse feed.

"Besides, we also carry out health checks on nine horses and inject them with vitamins at Pegadungan Soccer Field," he added.

Jeni (21), one of the horse owners in Pegadungan admitted his gratitude for the aid provided by KPKP Sub-agency and West Jakarta Baznas Bazis.

"This aid means a lot to us who make a living during the pandemic by using horses," he said.
