206 Street Light Poles will Be Built in Central Jakarta This Year

The Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency is about to build 206 street light poles in its region this year. It is a follow-up to the residents' request through the Regional Development Planning Forums (Musrenbang).

Planning Division Head Ahmad Hidayatullah disclosed the development would be executed in neighborhoods and collector roads.

"We are targeting to build around 206 poles," he expressed, Thursday (5/12).

Bina Marga to Install Street Lights at 27,000 Alley Points This Year

Of the 206 poles, 145 of them would be developed on neighborhood roads with a budget of Rp 765 million, while 61 would be developed on collector roads to support the sidewalk arrangement program with a budget of Rp 2 billion.

"This is still in the procurement stage so far. Certainly, all poles can already be developed by the end of this year," he continued.

Regarding the procurement of smart system lights, it was the authority of the Bina Marga Agency. He had conveyed the need for smart system lights following the budgeted number of street lights. So, if all poles had been built, the smart system lights would be ready to be installed.

"Hope it can meet the needs of residents, especially related to street lights," he hoped.
