City to Accelerate the Pluit Citizens Relocation

The hundreds of households (kk) relocation who live in south wet trace east side of the Pluit reservoir, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, is accelerated by city government. This acceleration is applied because the citizens houses are vulnerable to landslides when the reservoir water level is high.

From the initial data collection by Penjaringan Sub-district, there are about 2,000 houses that stood on the east side of the wet trace Pluit Reservoir along 3.5 kilometers. However, the priority is for 200 households that are located on the south of east side of Pluit reservoir that prone to landslides, while the rest is done gradually.
Head of Penjaringan Sub-district, Yani Wahyu Purwoko, said his side speeds up the citizens data collection. It is aimed to prevent unwanted thing during the rain season. Their houses could easily collapse due to crumbly soil.

Meanwhile, the Executive of Jakarta Normalization Reservoir and River, Heriyanto said, to accelerate the relocation, his side has coordinated with the Jakarta Housing and Local Government Building Department to prepare Muara Baru Flat. He hoped the citizens could be relocated next week.
"We hope on Monday (1/5) they can be relocated. It is estimated that the extreme weather will come in January, we do not want the unwanted things happen," he hoped.
Jakarta Housing Maintenance Department of Housing and Local Government Building Department Head, Triyanto mentioned, as many as 8 flats blocks were built as developer obligation, 2 of it have been completed and occupied. While 6 other blocks will be completed in stages.
"Two blocks will be completed and can be occupied by mid-January. The other four, respectively in February and March will finish by two blocks," he said.
