City to Rearrange 12 Parks in C. Jakarta

To improve safety and comfort of the citizens who come to the park, Central Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Sub-dept. plans to improve and rearrange the 12 parks spread around 8 sub-districts.

The park management will adjust to the park's layout and location. If it is near to the high density residential, we will apply the interactive park concept

Some of the parks that will be arranged are located at Petojo Utara Park, Harapan Mulia Park, and Jati Park beside the west flood canal (KBB).

"The park management will adjust to the park's layout and location. If it near to the high density residential, we will apply the interactive park concept, while if the park is located near to downtown, we will use the concept of child-friendly or elder-friendly park," said Themy Kenda Putra, Head of  Central Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Sub-dept., Tuesday (2/3).

21 Parks in South Jakarta will Be Arranged

Putra hoped the improvement makes the citizens more often to visit the park. "The citizens are also encouraged to keep the park clean and tidy," he uttered.
