Channel on Jalan Terogong Raya Being Drained

The South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency drains the water channel on Jalan Terogong Raya, Cilandak Barat, Cilandak.

We have followed up it by draining the mud in the channel manually

Cilandak Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yansori said the draining work is carried out to follow up on resident's aspiration in the 2023 Musrenbang forum.

They complained that the channel in the location often overflowed when it rained, inundating access roads in the surrounding area.

"We have followed up it by draining the mud in the channel manually," he expressed, Wednesday (8/16).

He explained the channel, which is 100 meters long, 40 centimeters wide, and 40 centimeters high was drained by seven personnel using hoes, buckets, and sacks

It has been conducted since a week ago and is targeted to be completwd by the end of this week. It had difficulties due to narrow access.

"Every day, we can collect more than 30 sacks of mud. Hopefully, after being drained, the surrounding area will be free from inundation," he stated.
