December, Bridge Repairs in Duren Sawit Completed

Repairs to the bridge on Jalan Raya, Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta are targeted for completion in early December. Physically, the only work left is to install the railings and ornamental pillars.

This work has been ongoing since August 23 and will be completed in early December

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Head, Benhard Hutajulu said that the repair of the bridge on Jalan Raya Robusta was carried out to follow-up on the residents' proposal through Musrenbang, as the condition of the bridge was narrow and low. In fact, it ials access between the East Jakarta area and Bintara, Bekasi, West Java, which is busy every day.

"The initial condition of this bridge was narrow, about five meters wide. Now, it has been widened to 7.2 meters and four meters long," he said, Friday (11/22).

Nine Bridges in Menteng Repainted

According to him, the construction was complete. It was just installing railings on the left and right sides of the bridge and ornaments on the east side. On the west side, the ornaments had been installed.

"Railings and ornaments are still waiting to be finished from fabrication. This work has been ongoing since August 23 and will be completed in early December," he uttered.
