An empty land by 1,500 meter square at Buperta Cibubur, Pondok Ranggon, Cipayung, East Jakarta, is used as urban farming.
Now the land is filled with wild plants
Cipayung Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga, said the work involves 30 joint personnel of Pondok Ranggon and Munjul Urban Villages' PPSU, assisted by Kelompok Petani Pinggir Buperta (KPPB) Cibubur. It is targeted that the land can be planted by productive plants in early next month.

If the wild plants are already cleaned, he added, the personnel will plow the land by using a machine. It aims to ease the land to be planted with vegetables and other productive plants.
He continued that the land will be planted with peanut and cassava, also Californian papaya.
"After being harvested, we will plant vegetables such as kale, pok choy, spinach, eggplant, chili, and so on," he added.
Pondok Ranggon Urban Village Head, Jenuri, admitted wild plants and big trees become obstacle for the personnel.
"Personnel also cooperate with fire handling agency to remove beehive on the tree. It is targeted that we will start to plant by early next month," he admitted.
