East Jakarta PPKD to Provide Charging Station for Electric Vehicle

East Jakarta Regional Work Training Center (PPKD) plans to construct two electric vehicle charging stations for public.

East Jakarta PPKD Head, Teguh Hendarwan, said the charging station construction is aimed to support blue sky of Jakarta Provincial Government program in order to reduce vehicle emission pollution.

PPKUKM Agency Socializes Electric Motorcycle Conversion

As planned before, the charging station construction will begin next July. For the initial stage, charging station is used for employees who own electric vehicles. Next, it will be opened to the public.

"This charging station is built right near the main gate, using ultra chargers for electric vehicles, both cars and motorbikes," he said, Friday (6/28).

Apart from that, his side will also provide emission test station for gasoline and diesel-fueled vehicles both motorcycle and car.

Teguh stated four emission test tools have been bought and tested by Manpower and Transmigration Energy Agency. There were 500 vehicles have been tested.

He continued that his side has also coordinated with the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to build a workshop for converting conventional motorbikes into type B electric motorbikes.
