Although they has been given a warning, as many as 81 street vendors are still recklessly opening stalls alongside Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu, precisely on the green belt along train tracks.

We don't want to move, because lots of our customers here

Pasar Minggu Sub-District Head, Heriyanto said street vendors along Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu were warned not to open their stall anymore. "They open stalls on the green belt, and we will control them to restore its function. Considering it is close to train tracks," he exclaimed, Sunday (3/5).

He furthered, the vendors were already offered to be relocated to Pasar Minggu. In there, they do not need to pay rental cost and only pay electricity in the first six months.

"We had offered them to move on the second floor of Pasar MInggu, but they ignored it," he said.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the road looks dirty and slum. Most of vendors selling exhaust and furniture. No wonder, it is very disturbing the passerby.

"We don't want to move, because lots of our customers here," asserted one vendor.
