 Ahok Sengaja Kunci KJP

Ahok: KJP Locked, No More Misuse of Funds!

To optimize use of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and not misused, Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) decided to lock the fund of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) this year. By doing so, the KJP holders cannot take fund which has been received each month.

we deliberately lock the KJP fund thus they cannot take the money. We had did socialization before

Ahok said although the policy has been socialized to citizens, yet most citizens do not know it. No wonder, it caused long queues in Jatinegara Sub-District to process KJP fund disbursement.

"This is ridiculous. They who are dominated by mothers whose children study in elementary school complained and get angry because they can't take the money (KJP fund). The reason is they don't understand where their children can only take Rp 50 thousand per two weeks," he stressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (7/28).

Jatinegara Residents Complaining KJP Funds Disbursement

He added that the new system was designed to limit the KJP fund withdrawal. For elementary students, they can only take Rp 50 thousand per two weeks and Rp 50 thousand per week for junior and high school students.

"They think their money is not there. Surely they are wrong, we deliberately lock the KJP fund thus they cannot take the money. We had did socialization before. This is different from the first, you could take money up to one million, this is illegal you know," asserted Ahok.

As known, hundreds of people lined up to process KJP funds disbursement on Tuesday (7/28) noon. They were complaining the convoluted process. Whereas, the sub-district had also announced that there was no cash disbursement.
