Caring Environment, 2 Residents of Pramuka Island Rewarded

Seribu Islands Regent, Budi Utomo presented awards to two citizens of Pramuka Island. They were judged for caring the environment from pollution garbage.

"Plastic can be valuable and useful thing, which processed into bins or pots and mixed with paper waste material goods," he said, Monday (8/17).

"Trash can be managed properly, waste can be a valuable thing. So it should not be abandoned trash, we’d better managed it," he stated.

 

Through the award, hopefully, more people are concerned about the trash matter. "With the momentum of 70 years of independence, it is hoped Seribu Islands can be free from trash," he uttered.

 

He also committed to continue in encouraging and facilitating people to be more concerned about the environment. Including providing facilities and infrastructure in the form of a plastic chopping machine and newspapers. "We’ll continue to support for caring and protecting the environment," he disclosed.
