Anies Hopes PMI Bulan Dana Fundraising to Be Improved This Year

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan hoped that Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Bulan Dana fundraising could be improved in this year.

According to him, in 2019, his side collected donation as much as Rp 26.9 billion. This amount was increased by 35 percent compared to 2018 with total of Rp 19.8 billion.

"This year we have to exceed the last year's amount. Our opportunities are huge, because it has the most population in Jakarta," he asserted, Thursday (2/13).

PMI Bulan Dana 2019 Fundraising in North Jakarta Exceeds The Target

According to him, all parties must support humanitarian tasks carried by PMI. One way to support PMI was through donation.

"Jakarta Provincial Government itself allocates budget for PMI routinely. But the most important thing is assistance from all citizens," he added.

He wanted PMI Bulan Dana Fundraising to have a big influence in raising people's awareness in humanitarian matters.

"Our collaboration with PMI will be continued. PMI can be a role model for other regions in Indonesia especially in implementing its innovation," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, 2019 PMI Bulan Dana Fundraising Committee Chairman, Catur Laswanto stated his side would prepare the strategy to meet the target that is intensifying its coordination with all stakeholders.

"We will also monitor it periodically thus fundraising can be optimal," he stated.

Jakarta PMI Secretary, Bambang Subekti stated, besides absorbing donation, a sense of mutual cooperation to help others was also a priority.

"Hopefully the result can be useful for the communities, because in the end, what we earned will return to them," he closed.
