Basuki: No Correlation Between Dead Fish Phenomenon With Island Recalamation

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama claimed no correlation between island reclamation project with the massive death of fishes in Ancol Beach, North Jakarta. However, his side has asked Environment Management Board  (BPLHD) to find out the problem.

Ahok continued the phenomenon is likely due to river waste. “It frequent happens when rainy season. As the river was polluted and causing hundred of fishes dead,” he explained.

Furthermore, he will certainly impose harsh sanction against company who littered the river. Revoking its license is the hardest one,” he exclaimed.
