Extreme Weather, Hundreds of Fish Dead

Hundreds of fish were found floating on the shoreline of Ancol Beach, Pademangan, near Ancol Beach Pool Mall, Monday (11/30).

Because, the same thing had happened three years ago

Manager Cooperate Communication for PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, Tbk, Rika Lestari said, the cause of the dead fish in Ancol Beach is transition season. 

"Because, the same thing had happened three years ago," she stated, after being interviewed by Beritajakarta.com.

Extreme Weather Change Triggered Hundreds of Fish Dead

She furthered, the phenomenon does not make Ancol management surprised. Considering, they knew the phenomenon last three years ago already started to appear one week ago.

"One week ago, our team already see the phenomenon will happen again. They also see the beach began foaming," she told.

At this time, the pick-up car had brought those fishes. So far, her side is still doing a test in laboratory to find out its cause.

"Our team has brought fish samples to the laboratory to know the cause is," she reported.

For visitor safety, the officer urged that swimming activity will be reduced.
