300 Elderly People Participated in Healthy Walk

We’re so happy, because we're still able to do positive activity, live healthy and keep in touch with others elderly

Commemorating the 87th Mother’s Day, as many as 300 elderly people who are associated of Elderly Jakarta Communication Forum (FKLU) participated in healthy walk event.

The event began with gymnastic activity on courtyard of City Hall and continued with healthy walk from City Hall, Jalan Thamrin, and return again in City Hall as far as 1 kilometer.

Elderly Life Quality Should Be Improved

Head of Jakarta Family Planning and Women and Community Empowerment Body, Dien Emmawati stated the FKLU was formed to create a good coordination among eldery people. By this forum, they can still conduct positive activities, despite having aged over 60 years old.

“We’re so happy, because we're still able to do positive activity, live healthy and keep in touch with others elderly,” she expressed.

In the future, she hoped, those can use Child-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA) well. Considering, in 2016, its existence will be built in almost all over urban village.

"Please use public spaces with positive activities," she closed.
