Parking Lot in Karet Tengsin Transformed Into RPTRA

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama inaugurated the Karet Tengsin Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Central Jakarta, today Wednesday (12/30). The 650-square-meter land was formerly an abandoned park used as illegal parking lot.

He proposed the land to be RPTRA, after knowing the government's plan multiplying residents interaction place. "After finding out the plan, we're as the lowest apparatus directly coordinate with the urban village head," he told.
Finally the park was built through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program from private company. The construction itself began since October ago.
