Basuki to Celebrate New Year's Eve with Noah Band

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama is going to celebrate New Year's Eve for first time in Ancol tonight, North Jakarta. With Noah Band, the number one man in Jakarta Provincial Government will release 2015.

"I'm going to watch Noah tonight. I've never celebrated New Year in Ancol before," said Basuki at City Hall, Thursday (12/31).

He claimed there is no special preparation to welcome the eve. But some Regional Working Unit (SKPD) have been instructed to prepare that the new year's eve can run smoothly and safely.

"No special preparation, just let SKPD handle this. Bina Marga Department has fixed roads, the bus is also already available," he explained.

Meanwhile, some preparation to welcome the eve along Jalan Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin have been seen. Some security post have also been established such as in Dukuh Atas and around HI Roundabout.

Starting at 7 PM, both of protocol roads will be closed for all kinds of vehicles. The locations are purposely prepared for Jakartans to celebrate New Year. But there will be no stage since there is still Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) construction project.
