Transjakarta Ready to Prepare 1,000 New Buses

Transjakarta PT Transjakarta is about to prepare 1,000 new buses from Europe. European brand is chosen due to easier to maintain and has sole agent (ATPM) in Jakarta.

“We must choose brand who has sole agent in Jakarta. It will ease us to replace the parts,” said Budi Kaliwono, newly promoted PT Transjakarta Director, Thursday (1/7).

It is hoped the new buses will improve the service for passenger. Time traveling between one bus with another can be shortened.

At this moment, the number of Transjakarta bus is 1,233 units. The bus number is included from PT Transjakarta and 8 operators.

PT Transjakarta own 244 buses; 172 articulated buses, 66 single buses, and 6 double dec ker buses.
