We told them that the area will be re-arranged after the permanent shanties were demolished

Setiyawan, Head of Kampung Melayu Urban Village, said that his side will instal canopy for street vendors. It is aimed to give schedule for street vendor selling at the area.

“We told them that the area will be re-arranged after the permanent shanties were demolished,” he said, Friday (1/8).

15 Street Vendors in Kebon Sirih Controlled

The location for street vendor is varied based on the road condition. A space by 20 meter long and 2 meter wide is provided on Jalan Kebon Pala 1.

“The concept is almost like a bush shelter with park and joint post,” he added.

He ensured that the street vendor who will occupy the space are those who were controlled in November and local resident.
