Traffic Engineering Trial Applies in Permata Hijau Intersection

Trial is done three days, and will be evaluated. If it is optimal, we will apply it

Jakarta Transportation Dept is conduction a traffic engineering trial in intersection of Jalan Permata Hijau, South Jakarta, toward Jalan Panjang. The trial aims to parse vehicle volume and smoothen traffic from Patal Senayan (north) in line with Permata Hijau operation.

"In Permata Hijau, there is a perlintasan sebidang (the intersection of a plot between the railway line to the road), thus we built a flyover. A while ago, the flyover was open and need to be supported with engineering system," said Deputy Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Yani Wahyu Purwoko, Monday (1/18).

He added, his dept also added green light duration from Patal Senayan towards Kebayoran Lama. Through this system, from Permata Hijau intersection, there are five movements and now become four movements. Then from Kebayoran Lama towards Patal Senayan is diverted to the left and turn around in front of ITC.

"Trial is done three days, and will be evaluated. If it is optimal, we will apply it," he stated.
