City to Survey Land for Army Flat

Jakarta Housing and Government Building Department keeps reviewing plan of flat construction for army and police in the capital. The land survey is still being conducted, to determine suitable land.

"We'll survey the locations that are suitable for army flat construction," expressed Head of Jakarta Housing and Government Building Department, Ika Lestari Adji, Wednesday (1/20).

Later on, she continued, the planning results can be used as a reference to build the flat. Planning and its construction will be carried out entirely by the city administration.

Flat for Army and Police Prepared

Earlier, Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said that his party will build similar flat as an apartment and equipped with a lift. Thus the army does not need to buy a house in the vicinity of Jakarta.

He assessed, the army and family living in the flat can ride Transjakarta bus for free. Thus they can save the money.
