Lintas Jaya Operation Controlled 154 Vehicles

Lintas Jaya Operation conducted by joint personnel of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Satpol PP, police and army, seems not give deterrent effect to traffic violators. This is because, especially in East Jakarta, they only controlled 154 vehicles on Tuesday (1/26).

Head of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu said the operation is done in two shift, morning and afternoon in five terminals. They are Kampung Melayu, Kampung Rambutan, Cililitan, Pinang Ranti and Pulogadung.

"During operation, we only controlled 154 vehicles. From that, 15 vehicles are towed, 75 vehicles are ticketed, and 9 vehicles are grounded," he expressed.

Then officers also removed tire valves of 35 motorcycles and 20 cars due to illegal parking.

According to him, those ticketed vehicles consist of 13 AKAP buses, 1 big-sized bus, 2 Metromini buses, 1 Kopaja buses, 1 unit of Elf, 45 small-sized buses, 6 goods cars, 3 taxis and 1 bajaj. There are also vehicles grounded, such as Mikrolet M 21 with license plate B 1348 TV, Mikrolet M19 with license plate B 1239 WT, and Jayamini minibus with license plate F 7831 FA.
