Transjakarta Operators Refuse to Install GPS

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, admitted some of Transjakarta operators refuse to instal global positioning system (GPS). In fact, he had instructed the operator to instal GPS.

“Some of them refusing installing GPS,” he said, Thursday (1/28).

Without GPS, he added, his side can not monitor Transjakarta operational. Whether the driver puts attention on passenger’s comfort or not.

Basuki to Stop Transjakarta Operator Contract

“We can not monitor bus’ speed,” he added.

According to him, operators also refusing to extend the contract since PT Transjakarta has no enough bus fleet. That’s why he asked the company to keep adding the bus number.
