No Train Doorstop, Train Crossing in Bojong Raya Prone to Accident

Residents, please propose a proposal about guard post and doorstop construction to Director General of Railway, because it is their responsibility instead of PT KAI
Rudolf (62), a resident living in front of the train crossing, said that in the past four months, two people and vehicles have been hit by trains at the crossing. “The last one I witnessed a passing biker got dragged as far as 200 meters at night and died. Such a thing happened because PT KAI does not concern to the safety of motorists,” he stated, Tuesday (4/8).
According to Rudolf, the residents have proposed to PT KAI to build guard post and doorstop at the crossing that connects Jalan Puri Kembangan and Jalan Daan Mogot. Unfortunately, there has been no respond from PT KAI until now. “We have proposed to PT KAI many times, but there is no realization until now. They probably don’t care about people’s safety,” he lamented.
Responding this matter, Head of Public Relations Division for PT KAI Operational Region (Daops) I, Agus Komarudin, stated that residents’ requests to PT KAI to build guard post and doorstop should have been represented by local government to be proposed to Transportation Department, namely Director General of Railway.
Their action by addressing the requests to PT KAI is
wrong because such a thing is the authority of the railway director general. “Residents, please propose a proposal about guard post and doorstop construction to Director General of Railway, because it is their responsibility instead of PT KAI,” he finished.
