TPS Collapsed, 3 People Injured

Three Election Committee (PPS) members injured when polling station (TPS) 25 in RW 06, Galur Urban Village, Johar Baru Sub-District, Central Jakarta, collapsed after being hit by strong wind during heavy rain, Wednesday (4/9).

According to Supardiono, the tent of the TPS collapsed when PPS officers were counting ballots. As a result, the counting process was moved to the house of Urban Village Deliberation Forum (LMK) Head. This decision was taken based on PPS officers’ agreement in the location.

“The ballots’ counting process is finally finished without any problem,” he stated.

Besides TPS in Galur Urban Village, a TPS in Kebon Kosong Urban Village, Kemayoran Sub-District, Central Jakarta, was reported also collapsed after blown by strong wind. Luckily, there was no one injured in this incident and the process of ballots counting ballots continued. However, Head of Kemayoran Sub-District denied this. He stated that the TPS did not collapsed, but the tent only leaked because of the strong wind.

“It was only leaked, there was no tent collapsed. Indeed, heavy rain happened during ballots counting,” he finished.
