25 New RPTRAs will Be Built in West Jakarta This Year

As many as 25 new Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) will be developed this year. The fund for its development will use the 2016 City Budget (APBD).

"We will build 25 RPTRAs in eight sub-districts that spread in West Jakarta," said Head of West Jakarta Housing and Government Building Sub-dept, Retno Setyonigrum, Thursday (2/4).

He disclosed that his sub-dept would be responsible for such development.

While Mayor of West Jakarta, Anas Efendi reminds the related unit to speed up the development.

"Regarding lighting matter is the authority of West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. Hence, the related unit must also be ready, so when the public space was done, the supporting facility could already be available too," he stated.

In West Jakarta, there have been 11 public spaces. Four locations are already in operation, while seven others are still under development. So, by the end of this year, about 36 public spaces could already be available that spread in 56 urban villages.
