Flood Post in East Jakarta Stanby 24 Hours

Mayor of East Jakarta, Bambang Musyawardana disclosed the entire flood handling post in its territory to keep on alert 24 hours in order to face rain with high intensity and floodwater that can come anytime. Especially at night, the vigilance must be improved.  

The officer will respond quickly if they get flooding report, and then continued to RT/RW apparatus

"In East Jakarta, the flood post is already alert in their respective areas. Even, at the city level, there are officials who served as the picket flooding every night," he stated, Friday, (2/5)).

Those officials are the assistant accompanied by sub-dept officials. Every night, there are 10 personnel stationed at the post. They come from a variety of elements, including from citizens.

Coordination of Flood Post Needs to Be Intensified

"The officer will respond quickly if they get flooding report, and then continued to RT/RW apparatus. Thus citizens living around the riverbank can already prepare before flood coming," he expressed.

According to him, East Jakarta is currently free from flood than before. But there is only puddle and will recede quickly.

"If his region is inundated, it is just floodwater from Bogor through Ciliwung, Sunter River, Kalibaru or Cipinang River," he finished.
