Djarot Inaugrated Manyang Park

On Saturday (2/6), Jakarta Vice Governor Djarot Syaiful Hidayat inaugurated the Manyang Park equipped with jogging track in PTB Kav Jakarta Complex, RW 11 Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. The construction on Jati Kramat Rivulet is from self-help from the community.

Djarot mentions, initiative of residents in RW 11 Pondok Kelapa deserves to get an appreciation. Independently, they wanted to build park as wide as 1.1 hectare. This is in line with the city administration programs, such as green open space (RTH) and Children-Friendly Infrastructure and Facility Public Space (RPTRA).

“I highly appreciate the steps of these citizens and must be imitated by other regions, in which we do not always rely on CSR or government. Surely we need this,” he expressed, Saturday (2/6).

According to him, Manyang Park is also RPTRA. Because it can also be used as silaturahmi (gathering site) and sport facility. He also advised that they keep and care for the park.

 

On the other side, Pondok Kelapa Urban Village Head, Siska Leonita said park land is owned by the government because it is part of housing social and public facilities that has handed over developers. In addition, the locals also plan to build water reservoir.
