Due to mud and trash, tens of gutters along Jalan Yos Sudarso and Jalan Ampera Raya, Kebon Bawang, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta were cleaned by 20 officers of Public Facility and Infrastructure Handling (PPSU), Thursday (2/11).
These gutters are clogged due to rain. Thus water cannot flow well to the channel and then spill out onto the street
Kebon Bawang Urban Village Secretary, Suria Atmaja said, on both streets, his side cleaned up 80 gutters, with details 50 points at Jalan Yos Sudarso and 30 points at Jalan Ampera Raya.
"These gutters are clogged due to rain. Thus water cannot flow well to the channel and then spill out onto the street. It is done to prevent puddle in rainy season, considering both streets are prone to puddle," he told, Thursday (2/11).
